Lounge Invites Fix

Fixes invitations to talent night and celebrity meet and greet events, so that the destination will be a lounge venue and not a private residence.

Bug

When receiving an invitation to visit a lounge for talent night or a celebrity meet and greet event, the venue displayed is a residential lot instead of a lounge. After accepting the invitation, your sims travel to the residential lot that was selected, and there’s no event happening there.

Fix

For some reason, the list of allowed venue types for talent showcase and celebrity sighting events was changed to residential lots instead of lounges, so the game can’t take your sims to the lounges where the events are happening.

This fix implements the intended behaviour, which is to set the allowed lot type to lounge, and allow your sims to go where the talent night or celebrity meet and greet are taking place.

Notes

  • Affects users with Get Famous expansion pack and game update version 1.51.77.1020 (19 April 2019) installed.
  • The official bug report thread can be found at EA Answers HQ: Unable to be invited to Talent Showcase/lounge. If you encounter this bug, visit the bug thread and click “me too” to increase its importance.
  • This mod rewrites the tuning file for the NPC venue visit situation that the affected events use (situation_NPCVisitAnyVenue FBC3AEEB-00000000-0000000000018B99), and will conflict with any other mod that overrides the same resource.

Download and install

This bug is listed as fixed in the patch notes for game update 1.52.100.1020 (18 June 2019), so this mod is no longer required.

Download the mod package file and place it in your Mods folder for The Sims 4, found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
